Coach Teron Uy
Head Coach

Teron Uy

In 2026, Teron Uy enters his first year as head volleyball coach at Bellevue High School. Coach Uy brings nearly 30 years of coaching experience spanning NCAA Division I, high school, and club volleyball, working with athletes ages 12 through 18 as well as collegiate student-athletes.

At the collegiate level, Coach Uy coached for 15 years, including stints as an assistant at the University of Washington under Jim McLaughlin, the University of Wyoming, Seattle University (where he also served as interim head coach), and UC Riverside. During his time at UW, he was part of the staff that broke through to the program's first-ever Final Four appearance in 2004, and helped train future U.S. Olympian Courtney Thompson along the way.

In 2015, Coach Uy took over as head coach at Lakeside School, leading the Lions to a WIAA 3A State Championship in 2016 — the program's first state title. He also co-founded Sudden Impact Volleyball Club, where he served as technical director for seven years, developing club-level talent across the region.

Coach Uy holds a degree from Santa Clara University and has built his coaching philosophy around athlete-centered development, technical excellence, and program culture. An avid student of the game, he enjoys reading widely on coaching methodology, teaching, and team culture, and is always looking for new ideas to sharpen his craft. Off the court, he enjoys biking and spending time with his black lab, Bailey, and works in the technology department at Lakeside School as the system and network administrator.
